The Breakfast Chef is responsible for delivering high standards of food preparation and presentation for breakfast service, creating a positive early morning and lunch experience for guests of The Strand Cahore. The post holder will oversee junior kitchen staff in the preparation of breakfast and the maintenance of requirements in terms of cleanliness, wastage and cost control.

The right candidate will have kitchen experience, will be reliable, flexible and will work well with other departments within the business.
The role would involve:
· Opening & closing of kitchen porter department
· Liaising with and work side by side with our chefs to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
· Ensuring all areas are clean and hygienic and all specifications and protocols are met and adhered to by your team in relation to Hygiene, HACCP and allergens.
· Experience as a kitchen porter in a busy, fast paced environment
· Safe operation of kitchen equipment
· Training of new team members to a high standard
The role is full time 40 hours across 4 days, Thursday – Sunday plus bank holiday Monday’s.
We are seeking a professional applicant who will deliver consistently and have good time-management skills and who is reliable.
The Kitchen Porter’s duties include, tidying, cleaning, and sanitising all areas used for and during meal preparation and service along with maintaining the cleanliness of overhead fans, ovens, grills, sinks, stoves, and fridges within and connected to the kitchen environment. Continually ensuring that work surfaces, floors and walls are clean and always sanitised. Taking in food deliveries and keeping clear and concise records of such. Putting deliveries away, decanting from original packaging and ensuring they are stored correctly. Assisting the chef in maintaining a high standard within the kitchen and in service.
